Abstract

To make sure that customers have a steady supply of energy, the electrical distribution system must operate well. Nevertheless, this system has inherent shortcomings due to its vulnerability to environmental disturbances. The distribution network's regular functioning could be better by the presence of symmetrical and asymmetrical fluctuations within these flaws, which leads to service interruptions and a general decrease in system dependability. This research uses a systematic approach to look at potential solutions to these important problems, concentrating on the subtleties of load flow and short circuits in the distribution system. The study includes careful load flow analysis and exact software modelling using ETAP (Electrical Transient and Analysis Programme) to replicate asymmetrical breakdowns. By contrasting the outcomes of mathematical studies with those attained over computer simulations, the research seeks to fully resolve these issues. This comparative approach contributes considerably to the overall resilience and reliability of the electrical system distribution by improving our understanding of distribution system fault occurrences and laying the groundwork for the development of targeted mitigation techniques. The knowledge gathered from this research might lead to improvements in the mitigation of disturbances and the performance enhancement of critical energy facilities.
